Platform: 3DR X8 RTF
I'm getting some compass errors when I run the Auto Analysis:
Test: Compass = FAIL - Large change in mag_field (97.24%) Max mag field length (1048.16) > recommended (550.00)
So I'm trying to troubleshoot this by following the wiki and log the mag_field over throttle to check the interference.
My problem is I cannot seem to get mag_field to log? I have tried setting the LOG_BITMASK in Mission Planner parameters where it states NearlyAll is 43006. After test flight, no mag_field data logged.
Next I tried connecting with with 3DR Tower and set the LOG_BITMASK parameter using the dropdown list to NearlyAll (-6146). After a test flight, no mag_field data logged.
Next attempt I set LOG_BITMASK in Mission Planner again to All+DisarmedLogging (131070), test flight and STILL no mag_field data?!?!
What am I missing here? Any guidance, suggestions, kicks in the right direction would be greatly appreciated as I'm somewhat hesitant to try much more with this unit while getting these bad compass issues.
