Low voltage along APM in/out pins

Hi,I'm currently in the late stages of scratch-building an ArduCopter as my senior project, and the first major issue I've had is that my radio receiver didn't seem to be getting power from the APM board. I double checked and I had wired all of the input/output pins correctly as per the instructions on the ArduCopter wiki, so I tested the pins with a multimeter and found that there was only a voltage drop of ~1.06 VMy radio receiver requires an input voltage of 3.5 - 9.6 V. Is there something I'm doing wrong, or a possible fix? Or do I just need to wire a separate battery to the radio?Thanks for any help/advice!

    You've set up your power distribution board wrong. APM cannot power your RC; instead your RC must power APM via the servo rail (which comes from one of the ESCs). As a safety measure, there are diodes stopping current from going from APM to the RC rail.
