Hello Dear Guys

I've got a problem using offset strap coil in HMC1043.

I know that I can put the sensor in a null magnetic point(like  Helmholtz coil) and read bridge offset then subtract that offset by applying adequate current through the offset coils. 

But the problem I'm struggling with is that I don't know what is the benefit of using offset strap in a close loop system and how to do that?Dose it automatically subtract hard iron offset?Or just improves sensor sensitivity and stuff???
