Magnetometer and DC magnetic fields problem

I'm in the final frame test phase and i have a problem with magnetic fields created by heavy DC currents from batteries to ESCs.

If i push a motor to full throtle, i can have as high as 20 degrees of compass deviation. I can see this clearly using a small navigation compass i placed on the IMU.

I tried to make a clean power wiring, very symetrical and quite far from the magnetometer, but it is not sufficient.

As i have a long landing gear, i think i will dissolder the magnetometer from the IMU, and put it on a landing gear arm, near the sonar.

Did some users tried to put the magnetometer here ? Is it working better ?

What would be the effect of a 20 degrees magnetometer error during fly ? Crashes ?

I have a circle wire, about 1 inch diameter to distribute power in the exact center of the center plate. This is about 1" 1/2 inch behind the IMU. Other wires are a star distribution to 6 ESCs.

Modifying this would be very long.

Would it be a problem to put the magnetometer 10" lower on the landing gear ?

A picture would not show anything usefull because wires are hidden between two plates.
