I received a magnetometer last month and soldered it to my IMU instead using a cable. I've calibrated it until the offsets stopped changing but every time I fly it I get a twitching left and right. Sometimes even a 180° turn and I will have to turn it back with the left stick. I've made sure my power cables are at least a few inches away from the magnetometer. My GPS is 2" away.
Another thing I think is related is when I give it enough throttle to hover but hold it from the top with my hand. It does the same twitching but I also notice that it's VERY stable if I try to tilt it forward or backwards. It really resists this movement but left to right roll movement I can do very easily and I notice those left and right props seem to spin a little slower visually. It seems to me the magnetometer is causing this. Can I just disable it in the code or do I need to unsolder it?
