make a autonomous system glider

I would like to make a glider fly to long distance without mankind manipulation.
My goal is to make a glider that avoid any object and go to a point I decide.
I plan to make it using arduino, camera(opencv), IR-sensor, altitude meter and glider kit for beginner.  I would also like to realize 3G communication between pc and glider to know where the glider is. Perhaps, I will use Android smartphone to manipulate glider. If you know best solution to make this object, please give me an advice. Thank you for reading :)
