We do drone-based aerial mapping for engineering companies and the like. Most maps end up in the 2-5sq mile range.We now have a client who wants us to create a 24sq mile map starting tomorrow.The mission planner parameters show this amount of coverage will take 21hrs in the air. We're planning the flight now and are systematically breaking the large flight plan into 20-30 smaller missions.It just occurred to me that there might be a better (faster) way to get the flight planning done. Do any of you have a lot of mapping experience with mission planner? We're flying a large wing carrying a 20mp Samsung point and shoot.Any tips to get this monster done would be greatly appreciated! Hope to hear from some mapping pros
