Hi, can anyone explain to me the role of MAVLink in Mission Planner? I have been looking into MAVLink on their home site as well as the source code, and it looks like MAVLink is both the way data is formatted,sent, as well as a set of functions that Mission Planner calls on to get the info the user wants. I want to know how close in the ball park I am or if I'm just way off. Also if anybody could tell me exactly how the layers of abstraction are in MAVLink (OSI 7 layer model?) that would be great as well, I have been struggling to find that as well. Sorry for all the questions!
