I've been having no issues with MavLink connecting to APM2.5 until I tried to connect after manually calibrating my ESCs for the 4th time. I believe I was successful in calibrating the ESCs but I had to reverse the Throttle Stick in the TX to get 'em calibrated.
Yes I did have the USB cable disconnected during manual ESC calibration.
So then, when I try to connect my PC to APM via USB so I can Configure my RC Controls to Thro Reverse; I can't establish a MavLink via USB.
My situation:
I've rebooted my PC.
I'm using the latest software MP 1.2.14 Mav 1.1.
With USB cable connected to APM, Win 7 x64 Device Manager shows Ports > Arduino Mega 2560 Com11 with no issues, Universal serial bus controllers > shows no issues.
After connecting USB to APM, APM & GPS LEDS are lit. red is on, amber is blinking, blue/red are alternatively blinking.
LiPo battery is not connected to PSB.
In MP with Com11 115200baud, arducopter2 sekectedm clicking on connect results in the Connect count down timing out.
I can not establish communications with APM via MavLink so I can't tell APM that I've reversed my Throttle Stick (to calibrate ESCs). so I can't test the misbehaving ESC/motor with known good ones.
Any ideas please?

can you get into the CLI? try a reset in there
