Mavlink not connecting

Summary: Ardupilot 2.6, Mission Planner 1.3.9, last firmware, Mavlink connection, all worked as it should…few hours later, Mavlink won’t connect, uploads different firmware, tried older software - no good results, tried older firmware – Mavlink connection but not able to set accelerometer or compass configurations.

Hi there, I’m having some issues trying to connect my Ardupilot 2.6 to the Mission Planner 1.3.9 build 1.1.5346.13591. At the beginning, once the firmware for an hexacopter (Arducopoter V3.1.5 Hexa) was uploaded, I connected with no problem the ardupilot to the Mission Planner, I was able to go to the accelerometer calibration and also the compass calibration.

But recently I would try to connect via Mavlink to my ardupilot but it will end with the message “No Heatbeat Packets Received” after the timeout.

I tried reinstalling the software, testing with older versions, and so on. What I get now is that when I plug in the Ardupilot with the USB, the Alive LED locks, I can upload different firmwares, but still the Mavlink won’t connect.

I also tried with older firmwares to see what happens, and what I get is that it connects via Mavlink, but I cannot set any configuration as I did before (acc, etc).

Does anyone know what can I do to fix this problem?

thanks in advance

  • I forgot to mention that when is trying to connect I can see the RX Led blinking.
  • Baud rate is as recommended 115200, as is the port number COM 35 for my chip, both checked in device manager.
