I'm a newbie to the minimosd.. but i'm wondering if anyone can shed some light onto a wiring question.

I'm going to tie this into the x380 mainboard.. i'm unclear if on the chip, i take my 11.1v 3s battery connections to the part labelled bat and still apply 5v from the x380 mainboard to the 5v port?

The chip i'm going with is this one..
http://www.amazon.com/MinimOSD-Naze32-Flight-Controller-Quadcopter/dp/B018DW92S2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01

I'm also wondering if the 5v should still go into a bec to "clean up" the voltage, as i read sometimes the osd or even the fc can spontaneously reboot if the signal fluctuates (is this true?)

I also read it may not be necessary to wire to the battery to monitor the flight battery volts if the rx (yellow wire) from the quad provides that info

Thanks in advance
