Dear Everybody.. I am Dom. New to forums & drones. I am, sadly, not a micro electronics person. Recently I got a Parrot Mambo. I hugely want to make a tiny wifi fpv camera setup for it. I think from your sites pictures that I am in the right place. Sadly I do not understand the terms used or the concepts explored. I really need to have a chat with someone, to understand a bit, to discuss if what I intend is possible & basically to get a complete shopping list of what I need. I am bursting with design ideas & desperate to tinker & create. Please help.
I want to understand how (and what) power comes out of the 4 Mambo Lego brick contacts to the accessories. I understand that wifi is not the best for fpv. I want to have a decent micro camera, what are the relevant parameters? Do I need 0.5 mp, or 1mp or 2mp or 4mp, what is feasible/appropriate? Ditto fps etc.? I want to connect the camera to a wifi "module" that "broadcasts" fpv to an i phone/pad sitting on the Parrot Mambo Flypad controller. This probably needs an "app" to display the fpv. Could it be "piggy-backed" on the Parrot freeflight mini app? I think that Mambo is controlled by bluetooth (on Flypad & i phone) & linked to app & i phone by wifi. Range only needs to be 50m max, more realistically 20m for indoors. Can the 2 apps be integrated/combined? Would I need to have 2 apps open, or 1 on i phone, 1 on i pad? As you can tell I have not got a clue, but am keen & in need of guidance. I just need all the best calibrated components. I am happy to "faff" for hours with Mambo accessories & Lego components & assembling all the pieces. I am aware that the Mambo is "programmable" using Linux. I have no idea if this could or should have any bearing on what I am trying to do. The micro wifi camera unit has to have a microphone but does not have to have micro sd(?) card for video.Size & weight dependent. Possibly better to have that facility via an app at the i phone/pad end. All input welcome.
