Minimum OSD screen artifacts

I have a RTF Hexa from 3DRobotics and I am having some problems with the display of my OSD, (see picture), there are artifacts that look like characters on the screen. Has anyone had this problem or know how to correct it?

I saw something similar once. I'd try re-flashing the font to the minimosd. Make sure the 5v and 12v sides are powered when you do this. I'm not sure why this is important, but I've read that it is.
