For security purposes, I would like to place Android tablets in the hands on ground crew so they can see the UAV's position and direction in real time - the ground crew would not require control (this could be dangerous), just a view. Is this possible today?

MP allows to stream the entire mavlink stream to one other destination. using cntl-f > mavlink. this allows access to modify from tablet however.
it may be possible to have a readonly version however with some modifications.
