Hello,

I did some Google searches and also searched this forum and could not find this issue but maybe someone has an answer...

I use a Macbook Pro with Parallels running Windows XP. Its awesome. I used Mission Planner for 6 months without any issues, upgrading to new versions as they were released.

One day I decided to download APM Planner for Mac. I tried it but I didn't like it as well as MP.

Now, when I connect back to MP, things are weird. Values are not the same, and "Standard Params" and "Advanced Params" screens are BLANK. Its DOES connect to my quadcopter without any trouble but I just want MP to work like it used to, before I tried APM Planner.

I'm currently using Mission Planner 1.3.31 build 1.1.5696.33420

Thoughts?

Thanks

try going to the help screen in MP, and clicking update. this redownloads one of the generated files mp uses.

    • First, thank you! That worked. I think I'll stick with MP from now on!!

Second, I love this community and the fact that you, the software developer, answered me directly!

Third, It seems weird that something on the Mac side would affect a program running on the Windows side. I use all kinds of programs on both sides (many times simultaneously) and I haven't seen that happen before. I thought Windows programs were fairly isolated from the Mac OS. Let me know if you need any help debugging that.

      • What's interesting is, I UPDATED MP after I was having these issues.

        So it went like this:
        1) MP in Windows XP on Mac running Parallels worked fine.
        2) Installed APM Planner on Mac. It connected to quad and worked. Just didn't like it as well.
        3) Went back to MP. It didn't work right. Screens were missing, flight modes were all blank, etc.
        4) Downloaded and installed the latest version of MP. Still did not work.
        5) Searched for answers, then made this post.
        6) Opened MP, clicked update. Now it works.

I think this is something that was coincidental, and not related to the install of APM Planner 2.0 for Mac OSX. If it was I liked to know why.
