I tried to select previous firmware after upgrading MP to 1.2.99 and received the error shown here: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showpost.php?p=27945450&postcount=3781

I uninstalled MP, then re-installed MP from scratch and the options to install previous/beta/custom firmware disappeared (see http://static.rcgroups.net/forums/attachments/4/4/9/1/3/a6643363-171-MP.jpg).

I was able to determine that these options disappeared on a fresh-install after 1.2.94.  I'm not sure how they are persisting through an upgrade, or what base version is needed to upgrade from in order to preserve these options.  Nevertheless, selecting previous firmware results in the same error in 1.2.94.

Was this intentionally removed?  Why is the error happening?

  • Update: There was a change in firmware 1.2.95 that disabled the "advanced" features by default.  It can be enabled by checking the box next to "Advanced View" at the bottom of the CONFIG/TUNING screen.

This bug is tracking the firmware download failure.  It is pointing to an issue with my ISP at the moment.

    • Issue resolved: The cause was an older version of Microsoft .NET Framework.  I was using 4.0, and MP currently requires 4.5.1.
