HI guys
I just took the cuad out to test LOITER mode, and I didnt even get off the ground,
When I arm the motors and give the smallest of throttle just to check everything is okay before takeoff, the LEFT motor goes crazy, almost 50% throttle I would guess,
The cuad lifts off on the left side and hovers a bit, not quite enough to flip , but it ends up flipping if i give a YAW command or LEFT command,
If i command RIGHT then the left motor just about touches down again,
I have done a hand test, and the problem seems to move between left and right motors when i Roll the cuad more than 90 degrees.
It also moves around the cuad when I manually YAW it,
I havent changed anything since the last flight except add a polystyrene topcover, (a chinease food box :))
and add the GPS module, which is mounted on the top cover,
I tested to see if it did it without the GPS module and the results were the same,
I then reset the cuad, and it wouldnt let me ARM after the reset,
does anyone know what might be up with it? im excited to see what the LOITER is like, but obviously it needs to takeoff first

The Yaw rate now uses an I term. This is great for performance, but we've avoided using it until 2.7. This makes the hand test not work after a few seconds. The i term will build up and try to flip the quad. When you go to zero throttle the iterm is reset.
We have a slightly more advanced control method in development that will lock in the iterm when doing the hand-test to avoid such a problem.

ok ,
The cuad wasnt responding to my RC commands, which is why in the field i wasnt able to level it, and the problems seemingly continued , I coudlnt see the apm lights due to my new takeaway food topcover, so i didnt know that it hadnt leveled,
now i have leveled it and everything is working again,
So I have two questions,
1) how in the heck did it get to think it was at a roll value of 90 degrees, i had been using it in the house to test gps signal and i levelled it just before going to the field, so i know the level was good,
question number two, ) this is a very wierd question i know, ) is there a possibility of a high RF interference from the cuad, ?
reason for asking, My TV was in standby mode, having auto shut down from no signal when I finished playing my SEGA MEGADRIVE last night, and when i powered on the motors of the quad, the TV instantly powered back up,
literally the most unexpected result of powering the motors , short of a hippo coming into the room and dancing a jig.
oooooh,
i conntected to ground station and for some reason it is showing the AH as 90 degrees from reality, hmmmmmmmm
ok
I have taken the props off to make some tests,
it now arms after an hour of being off, whilst i read the forum to see if i can find an answer,
When i arm, the smallest throttle takes left to 100% and I cannot hear any reaction at all to any rc commands except throttle,
I have the turnigy 9x, the monitor shows all channels working, i guess its time to hook it to gs to see if it recognises anything,
