I need your help.
I purchased an ArduCopter a few months ago and have had a few bad crashes due to stock motor quality. The first crash was due to the solder joints at the motor parting and the latest crash was due to a wire inside the motor breaking. I have depleted my supply of 6 DIY Drones stock motors AC2830-358, 850Kv (some are damaged beyond repair because of the latest crash), so being a slow learner, I order 4 "new and improved motors" from a JDrones distributor.
I connected one of the new motors up tonight and it instantly started to tremble. By the time I reached the throttle a few seconds later, it was too late. The winding wire had shorted out.
I want to solve this problem once and for all. Who makes quality motors that are reliable.
I'm thinking of Robbe motors (about $50 each) and the AXi motors ($120 each) are a bit on the steep side.
Any suggestions?

David, if you have received those motors from us. We are happy to replace them for you. Please contact jDrones customer service about your case.
Every single motor is manually tested on the factory and we are doing random testing on all our incoming motors at jDrones. But yes sometimes there might be few rotten eggs on the basket.
We are working hard to improve quality on all our motors and also working to create new set of high quality motors. jDrones is only and original AC2830-358 motor provider as they are created by us. Your motors should have jDrones logo on them, if not they are not AC2830-35.
I personally visited at two of our motor factories last month to work on quality issues. We made changes on how our motors are produced and work continues.
