MTK GPS on ArduPilot

So, I'm close to getting everything installed and set up for my first flight using an ArduPilot and thermopiles but I have a question about where to plug in the GPS. I have the MediaTek GPS on the adapter board and I'm wondering if I should plug it in to the GPS connector on the ArduPilot board or on the V2 shield. Which is it?

The shield. Otherwise you have to disconnect the GPS every time you wish to communicate (eg program) the Ardupilot. A mux on the shield handles this for you.
