My 700-class AP/AV Rig

Hi everyone,

Ive been lurking for a while and posted a little here and there. I wanted to share my heli with you.

It's a Logo 600SE with 710 mains and 105 tails (no stretch kit needed, the blades fit great).

Autopilot is a DJI Innovations AceOne and the camera gimbal is the 2xPT from PS1.

Still camera is a Canon 50D with a blip switch for triggering and for HD video I use a JVC GY-HM 100U with onboard zoom via a micro servo. Video signal is sent through a standard 900mhz setup, with a separate controller for camera controls and a 17" field monitor.

Flight time is in the 18 minute range on two 6S 5000 packs. Headspeed is around 1200rpm.

  • Great work!!

What blades are you using?  Try some carbon Flat bottom blades and you'll really increase flight times.

  • Nice.  I'm curious about the stretching, as I considered doing the same to my TRex 600 clone.  I was looking to see if the 700mm blades would fit in the holder, but they won't because the grips are too big.  How did you do it?  Are the main blades swinging over the tail blades?

Looks like you have the DJI GPS puck underneath the main blades too.  No issues?

  • Heres some pics from this rig:
