Many friends in the community ask me why you always make kinds of LiDAR ads and they believe a drone does not need a LiDAR to fly well.
Firstly, I wanna say Sorry for broadcasting so many the LiDAR products so directly that you brothers misunderstand me. Yes as you see, I am quite new in drones or UAV areas, but I am desire to learn more about the hardware and software of a entire drone so that maybe someday I can create a unique drone by myself with the LiDAR I recommend.
And you guys know that the drone is not cheap at all. It is limited for me to buy a new drone and take apart the drone to know about each part. So I come to know about the knowledge of drones on the Internet from you brothers. If you guys have any taken-part drones with pieces of photo, you can share with me and all friends in the forum.
Second, I want to explain the meaning of LiDAR for a drone. In my view, the most widely accepted opinion is COLLISION AVOIDANCE AND NAVIGATION.
Available UAV or Drones sensing solutions for position and range measurements as well as for collision avoidance are still far from perfect: GPSs and barometers aren’t full-proof—even outdoors—and can’t be relied upon when navigating indoors. Ultrasonic altimeters have very limited range. Optical flow sensors require good lighting and textured surfaces, and camera vision are still a work in progress and tend to be processing-intensive.
Finally, I want you guys understand me, thank you for your reading.
