My first fully auto flight!! Yippeee!

Tonight I had my first fully successful auto flight. What a rush! This is my first foray into autopilots and a rather steep learning curve to start with, but I'm happy to say it was all worth it.

I flew a circuit of 8 way-points, some of different height. The plane hit most of them the first time. It had trouble with one though that it had to circle back for. Other than that the flight went perfect.

Next I will put in my data recorder, so I can see just what it is doing.

Certainly a little fine tuning to do, but as it is its pretty good!!

For those that followed my other thread about throttle issues, this was all solved when I stopped using my Futaba radio. Apparently some new Futaba Rxs run at 2.7v on the signal line, and this can cause some issues with the AP on the throttle channel.

My setup is

Skywalker
AP 2.6 with IMU on ailerons and elevator.
Ublox GPS
No shield, yet.

Now a quick question.

To improve the navigation heading do I increase 7.1 NAV_ROLL_P  ?  I could find out through trial and error, but I'd rather know I am heading (pardon the pun) in the right direction.

Thanks to all that have helped me get to this point.!

Cheers
Jamie
