My quad with 2.1 hovers great... The PID tuning was not a problem...
I made the frame fairly large and its more than stable enough to take still pics from..
Problem is... Any Yaw input and the quad climbes very quickly or drops like a rock.
Using smaller props helps a lot but then it has no power and can't lift the camera..
Adding weight helps but not near enough. Power setting at hover is about %60
I am using a temp heavy wooden frame right now for testing because the light weight
I build first was too light
Setup
Exceed RC Rocket 3020-600KV (300 watt max)
Turnigy Super Brian 80a
2 x 5000 4S
12x3.8 slow fly (not flyable)
11x3.8 (bearly flyable)
10x4.7 (works ok, but no power)
Think I am going to scrap this frame and build a tri copter because I know I will not have a yaw problem with it. Unless Someone here can give me some advise.
Thanks

Can you point me in the direction to upload 2.1.1... I only use Mission Planner and 2.1.1 is not in there yet..
Thanks.
Eddie
2.1.1 has a patch that I would be very interested to see if it helps you.
It's adjusts the accretion of props in situations like yours. Could you give it a go in Stabilize and let me know?
