This is my new project on UAV helicopter, I have no much idea how to start. Some of my project guideline here. I want to use fully open source software1) My control system will be based on QNX real time operating System2) I need to design control system using PC 1043) Ground station should communicate with control system4) GPS and Sensor data5) Google earth integration in GCS and can view the helicopter movement6) flight gear integration and visualizationI want to post this final project in open source community for educational purpose.Anybody suggest me the idea to start this projectThanks

What level of autonomy do you desire?
What is your experience with RC helicopters?
I am working on a similar project .Give me more details ,like the heli platform you wish to use,GPS,downlink,INS/INU,altimeters,range finders etc.
If you have not decided then reply to this and I will make afew suggestions.
PC-104 is fine but consumes a little more power than UAV heli systems can afford,ofcourse that will depend on size of Helicopter platform ,large platform will have no problem.
