Hi,my name is Jason and this is my idea inspired by the Raven UAV,I want to be able to fly an aircraft from my home to my sisters home 4 hours drive away. I would like to fly it remotely with a live feed of video while being in complete control. The dream is to have it as close to flying a real plane as possible.Feature ListLive GPS tracking/feed:A live screen with GPS data, waypoints etc.HD video live stream:Video to be streamed live to my HD tvSolar electric power*:Maybe have solar panels on the wings to charge as it flys.Gas power**:Have gas as either primary or backupParachute failsafe:With remote triggeringComplete control over flight systems via base-station:Some thought may have to go into this but I was thinking maybe get a pre-paid phone to send data to and from the plane and also control it over the 450km distance /discussOption to autopilot via GPS waypoints:To be able to switch from full control and for autopilot to continue via plotted gps points and switch back again.I'm new to this and would love a discussion on this to help me reach my goal. I do realize that complete control over a distance of 450km is a big ask and the data for live GPS and Video would be intense, but maybe it's not that big of and ask and you guys/girls know how you could help me.Thanks

It's good to dream big, however, please talk to some of our many Aussie members to learn about the current legal issues with your plan. Maybe in time you can help bring about the technical AND regulatory changes needed to realize your vision. Until then, I hope you can find the parts that appropriate to work on safely.
