Need a help about autonomous flight via model aircraft

First of all I would like to thank to everybody who is working on this project and also contributing. I have been searching diydrones for 3 days in order to figure out the products and software. It's pretty much complicated :). I have a project to make an autonomous  flight via aircraft to search for a dedicated target area with camera. I found ArduPilot Mega and UAVDevBoard. I am confused to use which of these. So, I need a complete kit for hardware and software. Can someone help me or share his/her configuration.

Thanx in advance

    Hello MuratU,

I use the APM, which is great for autonomous flight, I have not used the UAVDev Board, I know that there are people here that do so, they may well come along and offer some help on that.

All you need to get going with the APM is the APM, Oilpan (I recommend with headers when buying) RC equipment (Min 7 channels), GPS and an airframe to put it in. There are add additional items like telemetry and air speed sensors and so on.......

I would recommend you look here for more information: Manual, if you read through the entire manual you can pick and choose the items you would like and should have a full understanding of all parts Ardu!

I fly the EZ* with an air speed sensor and the APM+Oilpan & GPS.

    Regards

    Martin.
