Need help with arduino

I want to read dle engine rpm from the ignition box with arduino board,The engine works with cdi ignition which has a connection(3 wires like servo connection) to an external tachometer (rpm meter)How can I connect the ignition box to the arduino to get the rpm?The cdi ignition:http://www.dle-engines.com/dleg0031-dle30/dleg0031-ignition-lg.jpgThe tachometer:http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXZRM8Thank you!

    unless you are able to reverse engineer the tachometer and find the pinout of the controller chip i suspect this is going to be quite hard with this tachmometer. 

    Perhaps look into using a hall effect sensor pinned to your arduino. There are a lot of examples on how to do this on google searches.
