I would love some advice with these lines from my log file
Test: Compass = GOOD - No MAG data, unable to test mag_field interference
(Loiter seems pretty locked in, so I'm confused about the "no mag data")
Test: VCC = WARN - VCC min/max diff 0.351v, should be <0.3v
(I'm not sure what this means?)

Hi,
the mag one is because mag data is not being logged....its not enabled. Therefore the simple test can't run on that data. If loiter is OK, then no need to worry too much other than for curiosity sake.
The second one is due to noise on the Vcc (the voltage that powers the flight controller). You can plot it in mission planner by hitting review a log, selcting your file, then open out "curr" and plot vcc. The test is comparing max to min, and seeing how big this difference is, in you case its bigger than 0.3V. other than the bigger spikes it doesn't look too bad, but it would be better without the spikes.
Thank you Stuart. I have a couple quick questions.
What would you recommend I data log?
Do have any suggestions on methods to clean my power up? I'm using a PM.
Thanks!
Tim
Do you power your flight controller with the ESC BEC? If yes then a band aid would be to solder a 470uF capacitor on a servo wire and connect it to a free pin on the FC so it can fix a bit of those spikes of power brown outs.
But a fix would be to buy a separate UBEC and power the FC with that.
I am using a PM to power my Pixhawk. I also have a UBEC going into the rail adding a backup to the PM power supply. I'm interested in cleaning this up, will this 470uF capacitor work with my set up?
it should not harm if you wire it correctly.
I had same problem when i powered my FC from the ESC BEC and the capacitor stabilized the voltage from 0,6V oscilations to 0,25V.
