new 3DR Video Kit

Simple question:

I noticed that the AV output for the ground station is via RCA jacks, yet my Android tablet only has a USB connector and my notebook only has a HDMI connector. I saw converters that were for sale, but most threads dated back to 2008 and were about Microsoft Vista issues. I would rather connect to my tablet, but would settle for notebook.  What is the best solution please?

And another along the same lines...what are the best goggles for the same product?

  • Is that HDMI out only?  I think it probably is, to allow it to be connected to other equipment. What you need is a relatively simple device that converts analog to HDMI. You can find those on ebay:

Of course, you need something that has HDMI in for that purpose. Other devices go from rca to DVI, which can be useful if you have a computer monitor.

Some of the better goggles are the Zeiss white ones @ 720p. I tend to go for simpler options and hook up a fatshark dominator to the analog signal. Less things to power up and it's good enough for most things.

    • Any type of converter you would be hard pressed to not find it at Monoprice.com

The link should take you to numerous RCA to HDMI as well as other interfaces. Prices between 30-50 bucks.
