I am brand new to quads and photography. I have read some forums about getting into quads. Since then I've purchased a cheap quad and have been learning to fly it with no auto stabilization, atm i can sucessfully chase my kids around the house (it's banded and safe I'm not flying irresponsibly). I feel that I can comfortably pilot a larger quad.I am looking to build or purchase a quad that can maintain flight for 20+ minutes with a gimbal and a DSLR camera (thinking the Nixon d5200). I would like to have about a mile of range, but that's not necessary, staying in line of sight is totally fine. I am planning on photographing real estate and scenery. If anyone could offer some suggestions that would be incredibly helpful. I am looking to spend around 1000 for the quad (gimbal, quad, and controller). I could go higher price wise if I need to, but that's what I've budgeted so far. Thanks for any help you guys can shoot my way!

You are new to quads and are going to build a sub $1000 quad with gimbal, controller and can carry a DSLR. Good luck. Its also going to be a quantum leap going from an indoor quad chasing kids to real life outdoor cinematography. Like many others I would recommend starting with something manageable like a 4 series with gopro and gimbal get some experience under your belt then grow if needed.
