Nexstar GP RC to UAV conversion.

Hello all,I'm pretty new around here and I'm excited to get started. I am going to attempt turning my first rc plane, a Nexstar .46 rtf (which has been sitting in the workshop closet for almost three years), into my first UAV. I'm planning on using the ArduPilot but I might wait for the ArduPilot Mega so I can use the IMUs instead of thermopiles. Is there anything I should be worried about using an engine instead of an electric motor? I also plan on converting the glow plug to a spark plug and ignition system so I can run FIA 0% nitro fuel. Any help and/or advice would be very welcome. Thanks,J

@Joshua , Nexstar is a great choice IMHO ( keep the fixed flaps and slates if you have it), I have salvaged the wing from crashed Nexstar & hope to use it in one of pusher UAV soon. The nitro conversion is also some thing i toyed with but seems as expensive as the engine it self. May have to go for 20 c.c gas if it doesn't work out for me. Here r few pic of it I am working on.

    Good luck

Glow has more vibration, which will diminish IMU performance, but it should otherwise work okay.
