No power on the servo rail...

As advertised.

I was having trouble getting my APM to read the RC signal.  I thought it might get fixed by re-uploading fresh code and running the setup, so that's what I did.  But once I updated the code (using mission planner), I found that my APM wasn't taking power from the rail.

Didn't happen before the software update.  I'm a bit confused.  I checked SJ1, and it's soldered nicely.

Are you applying power from an ESC/BEC to the servo rail? Or using the VIN+6v pins? All the gnd and +5vcc pins on the servo rail are connected, unless you have modified the board, that is. If you are using the VIN+6v pins, then ground should ohm out at near zero with the ground pins on the servo rail, but the + input on VIN+6v should be around 5Mohms across the servo rail.
