I have managed to get my model (skywalker) flying quite well in both stabilized and fly by wire mode, but I have a problem with the throttle. It doesn't seem to work.
For testing purposes I wired the throttle direct to the rx so I could control it. But if I run it through ardupilot it doesn't work right.
Firstly in manual mode the throttle seems to be at about 5%, so the motor runs when it shouldn't. I did adjust the trim on the radio to fix this.
Secondly in stabilize mode the motor is dead, and doesn't respond to stick movements at all.
Thirdly in fly by wire A mode the throttle runs full speed and again I have no control.
I have the old shield model with the IMU v2. I have the air speed sensor pitot tube hooked up.
I have also removed pin D13 and soldered the two wires as per the instructions.
When running the radio test I get 1516, 1418, 980 as the servo pulse. I thought the throttle should have been higher?
I'm using a Futaba 12z radio, but in FAST & channel mode with a 7 channel Rx.
Oh, I also tried to run the throttle test, but I kept getting an error.
Can anyone shed some light?
Cheers
Jamie

Maybe you could paste a few seconds of telemetry here while you're moving all the sticks, and we can look at the pwm readings.
When you move the sticks, does the throttle respond in the radio test? 980 is a pretty normal low value. How high does it go when you throttle up?
