Forgive the beginner Q, but.

Is it possible to pass the control data to the APM via the Xbee input instead of the RC inputs?

If I could pass a string wirelessly, then parse it to get the nessisary control data?

Sure, it could be done. But you'd have to write a bit of code to make that change.
