Odd behaviour since upgrade to 2.23 and Planner

I can no longer set modes on the flight data page ove xBee.

I can do it when connected to USB but not over xBee.

I tried reloading the firmware and just upgraded to the latest planner.

I initially thought that it was simply a hardware issue and that I wouldn't be able to write anything back to the APM over xBee however I can write waypoints and change the configuration over xBee fine.

When I try to change to auto, manual etc or try to fly to a point the APM planner announces the state has changed but the APM has not actually changed into that mode.

I can change modes fine using my RC and the apm planner also announces the change.

I can see the data light on the plane xbee flash when I send the command but the APM is not responding to it.

Just to be sure I reset back to defaults but the same thing keeps happening.
I even reloaded the latest firmware just to doubly make sure.

Is anyone else finding this issue.
Any suggestions on how to resolve or is this a bug.

Toby, i cant replicate your problem. i just tested like this

    2x planner open

    1x doing hil via usb.

1x xbee at 57600 for changing params and modes.

the only thing i can think off is you where in hardware manual. so no override was happening.
