WOWW…Seems my question is harder than expected…!!!

Come on developers….??? Any takers ???

OK I´ll try another way…although I think already know what the answer is:

Continuing from my last note…..

You see my confusion was that  , for example , all the “ standard “ or mandatory calibrations , in mission planner , i.e the compass, the radio , ect had a SAVE button and those settings were later shown in the full parameters list…confusion arose that such a “ SAVE “ button does not exist when one does the Power Module or Gimbal calibration…and to add salt to injury …the Full parameters list does not contain-show the Power module or gimbal settings …therefore I could not understand how ? where ? they were saved.

I guess what I can do is to have a screen shot of the power module and gimbal settings of say QUAd 1 , with its own APM 2.6 controller ..disconnect , shut down ect…and reconnect with another different QUAD 2 and different APM 2.6—reconnect power up ect …and see if the settings in the Power Module and gimbal have changed…yes ..!! that is what I will do. I still won´t know at what stage the Power module “ saves “ the params in the APM erom …when I change screens I guess ???.

Kind regards.

Power module and gimbal settings are there, they just use different names (search for voltage or current for some of the power module settings). These params are saved on the fly almost as soon as they are written and so don't have a save button. If they FAIL to save, you'll get an error message. The mission planner has mostly been written by one guy, Michael Oborne, who has done an amazing job but can't do everything to everyone's taste.

Thanks for the reply….that clarifies the saving issue at last ..!!! .

And I do agree with the very good work that Michael Oborne is doing… I should know how difficult creating software is …I am a programmer myself , but if you do check my question I was asking-talking about the Power Module saving procedure , not Michael´s Oborne performance.

Many thanks for advice and your time.

No problem, glad I could help. All the gimbal settings are there too but fall under which channel you assign for the gimbal axis. Also if you don't haven't seen it already, you can save your full parameter list, change something and then compare the saved list to the current params.
