Why would you need a optical flow sensor? Just curious.
I do have one install on my classic helicopter 450, with KDS Flymentor device.
It works good up to 3 meters, it helps you to do a hovering if the ground clutter is mixed color.
On snow or grass, do not work, since the functionality is based on comparing the images and apply the correction.
Would be good for indoor hovering where you do not have GPS signal, works fine for me in hovering (450 classic heli) on my basement. I was thinking to have one for my quad...
But except that, I don't see to much utility, I wish to know more, maybe you have some ideas.
