Optimum quad size for maximum stability

Hello

I am in the process of planning to built a quad for aerial video - HD with goPro.

I have done a lot of research on frames, and somewhere read that the most stable quad for aerial photography is with dimentions of 60cm between motors (clockwise, not accross), leaving each arm about 44 cm long.

However most video's that I see, the quads look smaller in size?

I am planning to use DT750 motors with APC1047 props.

Any advice from you experienced guys will be highly appreciated.

Thank you & enjoy your day!

  • it depends on your PID settings ;)

  • I made some tests many size of quads and i see no space of props are the most stablel. For example if you use 10 inch props, motor to motor size should be 10.5 , 11 inch.Good luck.
