I am wary of starting another on the HK clone given the recent history... So guys, please let's keep this discussion to technicals. No politics....

Anyways, I've been away from the office and did recognize the brown-paper package from HK until one of my PA's informed me. Opened it and had the lads connect them... SOP.  All work.

So, first impressions: Six Sigma. They all good, no DOAs. (Yup, we bought more than needed). I am more impressed by the quality of these boards than by the 3DR airspeed sensors. (HK, if you listening, we need a dozen airspeed kits).

All five independent stations recognized the com ports, automatic firmware upgrade, etc.... No difference. So, this thumbs up to HK. All 20 function 100%... variety of GPS receivers used...

The next month OT&E over the Himalayas will determine whether or not we can mate the HK clones to our FLIR-enabled airframes.

Plus, these HK clones are good to go with the Aussie rfd900 and other UHF LRS.

Pics and vids to follow.
