Hi
I'm building my vehicle using APM2.6 and using some high voltage servos 6/7,4V. It is stated that "OUTPUTS" voltage should be under 6V (ABS MAX) is it so even when JP1 is removed?
And another thing. I wondered why my digital high voltage servo was moving very jerky (APM not connected) And if I moved servo at the same time when motor was spinning the motor stopped for a while. Well, i connected scope to see servo/receiver voltage and noticed that when i moved servo, my servo/receiver voltage dropped from 6 V to 2 V for a couple of ms shutting down the receiver temporarily.
Then I installed 2,2 mF capacitor for the servo, and now it works fine. If I move my servo like i were possessed I can see some minor effect on the motor RPM, but otherwise it works fine now.
EDIT: I tested with 10 mF capacitor and found out that my laboratory power source was limiting current. Voltage never dropped under 5 volts after i raised current limit. I doubt it will work perfectly with 2,2 mF also if I test with raised current limit.

I'd just power the entire servo system from it's own BEC, and only attached the signal line to the APM if I was you.
