Pixhawk and servos

I am trying to get a simple gimbal servo working.

1) Servo (Towerpro SG90) is connected to AUX1. Rail is powered from AFROESC BEC, with zener. When I use this interface:

3691239980?profile=original

the servo cycles, so I presume, it is powered correctly.

2) Pot on my TX is binded to CH8, which is callibrated and the bar in Mission Planner moves from 990 to 2014, so I presume pixhawk gets input from my radio.

3) I configure the gimbal page the following way:

3691240005?profile=original

but the servo won't move. I have tried with MNT_TYPE=0 and MNT_TYPE=1, no effect.
Unless it woks only with the motors spinning? Or armed only? Maybe something is wrong with the PWM signal from the pixhawk to te servo? If so - why it works from the test screen (screenshot #1)

Any help appreciated. I have spent hours on this issue.

P.S. Multicopter v3.3RC9, Mission Planner 1.3.31

  • I finally resolved this, by :

    1) uploading firmware 3.2.1

    2) making the gimbal works (change mnt_type to 3 in this version)

    3) upgrade to the FW 3.3.3.

    And it works. ;-)

  • I have the exact same issue, this was working in the previous firmware version, (mnt_type not present at this time).

At this time, no way for me to get any output on channels over RC8... Really confusing
