Pixhawk config issues

I am working on configuring my Pixhawk.  I tried different firmwares and the different apps.  Not going so well today I think.  I am not seeing the LED colours displaying in the documentation http://3drobotics.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/pixhawk-manual-rev7.pdf

Using Mission Planner

Install firmware 3.1.4

After install I get too tee too, too tee too, too tee too and then beep beep and I click OK

Safety switch flashes very fast, but no colour on the main LED

I plug in the battery and keep it on USB power

Hold down the safety switch, but nothing happens

Unplug everything for 10 seconds

Plug in USB only

Still no main LED colour

Load custom firmware of 07/05/2014

After install I get too tee too, too tee too, too tee too and then beep beep beep and I click OK

Main LED flashes Green, Blue, Red very fast.  That isn't in the documentation

Safety switch flashes 4 times fast

Plug in battery and keep USB in

Hold safety switch in and it is lit, but main LED is still giving us a rainbow

I see it is not happy about the compass and it isn't detecting the GPS that I plugged in.  On the Compass screen the app keeps on going back to the Manual radio button even after I did a Live Calibration.

I don't know what is supposed to happen on Flight Modes.  The documentation says the drop down will go green depending on which switch is selected on the transmitter.  Mine just always has Flight Mode 6 as green

Using QGroundControl

Go to config

Scan

Install stable version

Main LED does the Blue breathing thing.  Not sure what that is

Safety switch is lit

QGroundControl can't connect to the Pixhawk again

Unplug battery and USB

Plug back in

It does beep beep beep for a couple times and then again blue breathing and now safety switch has intermittent blinking

Holding the safety switch in it now flashes twice fast

Still can't connect to the Pixhawk

I have to then install 3.1.4 from Mission Planner to fix it

Install 3.1.4 in Mission planner

No colour on the main LED again

Back to QGroundControl

Go to config and scan

Install beta

Beep many times

Blue breathing and safety switch flashes once at a time

Blue on permanently

Hold safety switch in and then it flashes twice fast

QGroundControl can't connect

Unplug and restart QGC

Connect.  Can't connect

This is the log from QGC

  • I have the similuar problems like yours. My pixhawk can connect to both MP and QGC after i install apm's firmware(v3.3).but with the px4's firmware i can't connect to MP or QGC .Have you fixed your problem and how?

  • 3D Robotics

You may have a corrupt bootloader. Try powering on with the safety switch held down and keep it held down until the beeping stops. That will reload the bootloader.

If that doesn't work, you may have faulty hardware.

  • I'm facing similar problem . I tried with apm planner , mission planner and qgroundcontrol.

    mission planner 3.1.5

success loading the firmware but facing error on mavlink connection cannot bind the connection.

    qgroundcontrol 2.0.3

using the qgroundcontrol I got success uploading the firmware and success linking with mavlink but I couldnt calibrate my Y6 multicopter.

Is there a way to calibrate multicopter without using the mission planner ?
