I (very successfully) flew my quad with a pixhawk (clone, hkpilot32) and the (original) px4flow mounted.
in oder firmwares the px4flow never seemed to work at all, I played around, installed new firmware, etc. I could get it to output a video streem in Qgroundcontrol but not much more, never got it to communicate with my pixhawk.
that way, with the px4flow essentially "dead weight" I did (best guess) around 50 flights without issues.
A few days ago I updated from a 3.2 beta (which I way flying for a long time) to 3.3. I had 2 successful flights.
Yesterday I added the "land" mode to my flightmode settings, and enabled "Flip" on CH8. When I tried arming my copter it refused (2 beeps "mid-low"), connecting my PC I saw that I had LiDAR problems, and rangefinder problems. I thought both are px4flow related so I had hopes again that possibly with 3.3 my dead weight would turn into a working unit.
So:
- I connected the px4flow to my computer with USB (same cable I used for the pixhawk a few seconds earlier)
- The Pixhawk made funny beep noises I don't remember hearing before
- I disconnected the cable
- I connected to the pixhawk again, and it is dead (only the "PWR" led turns green, and I hear feint "static" noise from the buzzer, no beeps, no other LEDs, no reaction on the computer
- I connected the px4flow again, and it too is dead. normally when it is powered some led's would start flashing fancy, nothing
are both dead? Both do not register on the PC anymore
