Just received my Pixhawk board and it's pretty much wired up, wanted to arm it to check motor directions and trough mavlink it says that i'd had to press safety switch.
Is there a way to disable safety switch (in arming check)? I really don't want it and there's no good place to install it on my quad.

I'm with the original poster, this pre-arm for the pre-arm is redundant and unnecessary IMHO.
One more thing to mount.
Seems exactly like something that a legal team would make you mount. "You knew you were about to fly this dangerous thing, you pushed the button AND you executed the arm command on the controller".
:)
Sadly, this does not appear to be a Parameter that I can set via MP for Copter 3.1.2

Here's a start not sure if its in the copter code. http://diydrones.com/profiles/blogs/pixhawk-installed-in-vulture-2-...
thx a lot
Finally BRD_SAFETYENABLE saved my day!!!
Hi,
Where are you seeing this? I have 2.78b, plane and cannot find it anywhere. I would certainly like to eliminate the safety switch on fixed wing plane. I don't see the value added frankly.
Best,
Steven
Just go to "Full Paramter List" click on the right side on "Find". Typ "BRD_SAFETYENABLE" and there it is :)

You must have a magical MP or different FW. I cannot find the above param.
Again, I am using the latest MP and the latest stable plane FW.
The ability to eliminate the Safety Switch need on a Fixed Wing, 1 motor plane would be most welcomed.
If any developers are monitoring, please consider this option. My plane is small enough and doesn't need more wires and another hole in it.
Thanks,
Steven
I also can't find it. I've updated to the latest stable mission planner and Pixhawk firmware. Is it in beta?
