My wife and I moved from SF to Oakland about a year and we live in a high crime area. We're not too far from east oakland. Everyday I hear gun shots from my backyard; every other day there is a police helicopter circling above our neighborhood. Our house was broken into last Christmas and it is only a matter of time it gets broken into again. Almost every neighbor we spoke to said their house has been broken into and this happens every 6-12 months. I'm new to drones and I'd love to connect with some pros and amateurs to see if drones can help make east oakland any safer and/or help solve crimes.

1000's of cases go unsolved in Oakland every year and there must be 100's of criminals are roaming free in Oakland right now, ready to pounce on their next victim. There must be a way to stop this madness if not reduce it. For 50+ years, Oakland has been infested with this challenge.
Oakland PD is understaffed, crime is on the rise, I feel unsafe living in this neighborhood but I love my house. Can technology help? CAN DRONES HELP PROTECT OAKLAND with DAY AND NIGHT PATROL especially at NIGHT? To start small, what will it take to patrol East Oakland from 8pm-5am on Fridays and Saturdays?

Why would anyone move TO Oakland?
