is there plans to support more than 6 ppm output for using more escs? would it be something solved in a future code release or is it sois it something that will be solved in a future code release or is itsomething to do more with the hardware ? plan to build an octo but i2c escs are too expensive yet! thanks a lot for your helpnicolas

APM has eight outputs that could be used for motors but official Arducopter route is leaving them for other use.
Actually after building an okto I wouldn't recommend it. Instead go for a big quad. I mean with 300W engines and 12 inch props you will have same power as an okto but it will be so much lighter and simpler to build.

I too like the idea of cheap and available ESCs for an okto. I have built an okto with y-cables using quad electrics. You can check my blog:
