Portable Power Ideas?

I recently hooked up FPV on my Phantom. I power the transmitter off the Phantom LiPo and am waiting for a cable that will allow me to use my Mac for a monitor. However, I need to power the receiver that feeds the video into the laptop and I really don't want to plug it into the car outlet, which would tether me to the vehicle.

What are people using for power in the field? Only thing I've been able to come up with is a portable car jumper station, although those are quite bulky. Any ideas solutions would be really helpful.

recylcle your older 3S lipos. when they get a little low on capacity use them for powering your ground equipment. you can always plug them together in parralel to get a reasonable capacity

a typical ground station with monitor and Rx will use about 150-200ma , a s3S 1200ma will run that for at least 5 hrs

    cheap and light.

    • Cool, thanks. Kind of surprised there isn't something a bit more elegant, like a portable USB charger or something.
