Possible to Test Setup Without Battery?

Hi guys - 

 

I was wondering if it's possible to test a setup (already installed on the plane) without having to use a battery. Have you guys tried this before, and if so, how?

 

I was thinking maybe connecting it to the LiPo battery charger the same way you would connect the battery but I'm not sure what kind of settings I would have to choose.

    What kind of setup? APM, ArduCopter, something else?

    The one thing I'm sure of is you can't use a LiPo battery charger as a battery!
