I decided to upgrade my 500mm quad-frame to ardupilot APM2.5+GPS
Unfortunately I don't have the power monitor cable and was wondering for some help on this? I'll build one if need be...
I'm an robotics engineer and has no problem understanding ccts, firmware and software
my question is -
The power cable monitors the lipo cell voltages (I assume) and when reaching a thresshold gives a boolean logic signal to the APM
My questions are then does it monitors voltage or current?
What type of signal does it gives to the APM?

You might also get some benefit from the APM2.5 Simplified Power schematic.
It shows the 'Mystery Port' which was revealed to be the APM Power Module port.

See http://code.google.com/p/ardupilot-mega/wiki/Voltage#APM_2.5:_Using...
You can also measur voltage and current on the ADC channels 1 & 2 and it only requires servo cable to connect which is easier see http://code.google.com/p/ardupilot-mega/wiki/Voltage#APM_2:_Using_t...
