PPM Encoding

I have a Turnigy 9X transmitter.  My understanding is that this outputs PPM encoded channels.  That is, there are eight separate channels, as separate signals,  that are each PPM encoded.

Is there an easy way to combine the separate signals into a single, PPM encoded signal that has all eight channels?  I am trying to avoid writing code that will do that myself and use something already developed/available.

I understand that the DIY Stores PPM encoder outputs a single single PPM encoded signal that includes all the channels.  However, I believe that that requires PWM inputs.  So that doesn't seem like it would work.

Thanks,
James

  • PPM generally implies a single signal with all channels present. This is often the signal that appears out of the buddy connector. PPM is separated into separate PWM channels in the receiver.
